Its a process during wich learners develop the values, attitudes, knowledge and skills, needed to make responsible decisions and take appropiate actions in regard to their own learning.

The various mental processes use in thinking, remembering, perciving, recognizing, classiying.

COGNITIVE STRATEGIES: Processes and behaviour wich learners use to help them improve theur ability to learn or remember something.

METACOGNITION: Knowledge of the mental processes wich are involved in different kinds of learning. Learners are said to be capable of becoming aware of their own mental process.
